Itinerary

Your journey begins in Larnaca, where you’ll be transferred to your Emerald Cruises luxury yacht. A vibrant seaside city, it is popular for its beautiful beaches, lively waterfront promenade, and rich history.

Please book your flight to arrive into Larnaca prior to 05:00 PM. (D)

Relish the nautical adventure of a lifetime with some relaxing downtime at sea. Enjoy the lavish comforts of your stylish yacht — slide into the infinity-style pool where the azure water appears to blur with the horizon, ascend to the Sky Deck to drink in panoramic views, or simply relax in the Observation Lounge. (B/L/D)

On the lovely Greek island of Rhodes, the Medieval city, or old town, is a must-see attraction, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Encircled within four-kilometer length of walls, the city’s medieval buildings, the Street of the Knights, and the Palace of the Grand Master give you a sense that you’re back in the Middle Ages. Known as the ‘Island of Knights’, charming Rhodes is also famed for its delicious local dishes — be sure to try the melekouni (a traditional sweet) and pitaroudia (chickpea fritters). (B/L/D)

Stretching from Turkey’s southwest coast into the Aegean Sea, the stunning twin bays of Bodrum are home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, built between 350 and 353BC for the ruler, Mausolus. While Bodrum boasts a rich history, the city itself is a modern playground for Turkish and foreign visitors alike, with two contrasting sides in the east and west. In the evening, you will sail on to Kos. (B/L/D)

Kos is a Greek island just four kilometres off the coast of Bodrum, Turkey. It's the birthplace of Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, and home to several historic ruins, including an ancient agora, a Roman Odeon, and the Asklepion, an ancient healing temple. (B/L/D)

Rethiymno is a beautiful city located on the northern coast of the Greek island of Crete. It is a charming destination that offers a unique blend of traditional Cretan culture, stunning natural beauty, and rich history. (B/L/D)

Continue exploring Rethymno today. The city's historic centre is filled with narrow streets, picturesque alleys, and beautiful Venetian architecture. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it's easy to see why. The buildings are adorned with intricate stone carvings, ornate doorways, and brightly coloured shutters. (B/L/D)

Paros is one of the prettiest Greek islands in the heart of the Aegean Sea. Its verdant green landscape is adorned with vineyards and orchards laden with citrus fruits and pomegranates. Wander the winding streets of the capital Parikia, to see the quintessential Cycladic architecture and quaint white houses with bright blue doors and window boxes full of blooming bougainvillea. In the evening, you will sail on to Syros. (B/L/D)

Syros is a charming island located in the Cyclades group of islands in the Aegean Sea. Known for its rich history and vibrant culture, it is famed for its unique architectural style, which reflects its historical development. The contrast between the neoclassical mansions in Ermoúpolis and the Cycladic-style whitewashed houses in other parts of the island creates a distinctive aesthetic. In the afternoon, you will sail on to Kos. (B/L/D)

This world-famous Greek island is popular for its lively party lifestyle, gleaming whitewashed buildings with blue-domed roofs and bustling waterfront area brimming with restaurants, cafés, and fashionable boutiques. You can also explore the historic Windmills of Mykonos and Little Venice with its stunning seafront homes and from Mykonos itself, visit the sacred island of Delos, whose archaeological ruins are today, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site. (B/L/D)

Your luxurious yacht cruise concludes in Athens, the dynamic capital of Greece, where you’ll be transferred to the airport for your return flight home or to continue your holiday.

Please book your flight to depart out of Athens after 01:00 PM.

Impressive ship and itinerary   1 , QLD, Australia, Jul 2024
This was our first time with Emerald Azzuarra having previously travelled on the Scenic Eclipse. We loved the relaxed and non crowded feel of Azzurra. Being a smaller ship it was able to go to ports the bigger cruise lines cannot reach which was fabulous. We realized how great this was when we visited places like Debrovnick and Split that had 3-4 ...read more other big cruise lines in port and the places were PACKED! This itinerary was fabulous. We travelled mostly overnight and woke up each morning to a postcard view of a new town. The Croatian coastline and towns were stunning. Montenegro was just as beautiful, and whilst Albania was interesting , one day was perfect. Coming through the Corinth Cananl with only centimetres to spare on either side was a highlight.

The Emerald Azzurra crew were also amazing. Friendly, personable and attentive. Nothing was a problem for them. There are a few things Emerald need to work on such as food choices and consistency of quality though. We were told they are bringing people from Scenic Eclipse to elevate the experience. Emerald Azzurra is not in the class of Scenic Eclipse yet but has all the elements to be just as impressive with a bit more work. Overall we loved the trip and would travel with Emerald again.
My Perspective   1 , QLD, Australia, Jun 2024
My wife and I have just returned from our cruise on board the Azzurra. For my wife it was her first time on the open seas, and for me, an opportunity to experience small ship cruising with one of our long term cruise line partners. I'm the CEO of of Global Journeys, so I thought I should put in some extra effort and provide you with a thorough review ...read more of our experience on board and on shore. Our rating gives it away a bit...but it's not all smooth sailing! Read my full review here if you're interested, but if not, then suffice to say, small ship cruising with Emerald will be a new experience for many and we'd both recomend this cruise and the ship to our friends and family.
Amazing Azzurra 5 , VIC, Australia, May 2023
Eleven days of pure bliss, our expectations were surpassed on this voyage from Athens to Athens. We could not fault any aspect of our time aboard or any of the activities we enjoyed. Special mentions go to Karen (activities), Paul (chef & his crew) and Ozay in the spa.
