This morning, travel south to Richmond, home to the historic Richmond Bridge. Built by convicts in the 1820s, it is Australia's oldest bridge. On the way to Port Arthur, see how nature and time have created spectacular rock formations such as the Tessellated Pavement and Tasman Arch. At Port Arthur Historic Site, join a cruise around the Isle of the Dead and hear haunting stories about the convicts buried there.

Insider Experience: Embark on a guided tour of the Port Arthur Historic Site, once Australia's most notorious convict prison.

We had rain and cloudy weather during most of the tour except for some sunshine in Hobart and at Port Arthur which kept the temperature no more than 25 degrees. The scenery was just beautiful, so many trees! The accommodation was very good with the RACV Hobart Apartment Hotel the best - the helpful staff, food and rooms. We had a small group of just ...read more 19 and we all seemed to get on very well. The driver Barry and Tour Leader Wally had very good knowledge on all aspects of the tour. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were always pleasant and helpful. I would definitely do another tour with Travel Marvel- after a bit of a rest of course!

Accommodation in Launceston and Port Arthur not very good but on the whole a good holiday. Accommodation in Bicheno and Hobart excellent, breakfast very good and dinners not bad. Make sure you take a jacket when travelling to Tasmania.

I totally enjoyed myself. Steve, the coach driver and Margie, our tour director were excellent and made everyone feel at home. They looked after me with my arthritis and made sure I was comfortable and included in everything. I would recommend this trip and tour company to anyone. 10 out of 10!
